Students of UNY (Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta) Have the Opportunity to Participate in the Erasmus+ Program at Daugavpils University, Latvia.

Yogyakarta - An exceptional opportunity has been seized by Danial Hamdani, a student of the English Language Education program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (PBI UNY), who has been selected to participate in the Erasmus International Credit Mobility exchange program at Daugavpils University, Latvia. This program is a part of the Erasmus+ initiative aimed at facilitating student exchanges at higher education institutions in Europe.
Danial will spend one semester (February – June 2024) at Daugavpils University, attending various courses relevant to his field of study in English Language Education and engaging in academic and cultural activities on campus.
According to the Head of the International Office, Prof. Dr. Moch Bruri Triyono, M.Pd., the departure of students to Daugavpils University is a realization of UNY's commitment to enhancing the quality of education and expanding international cooperation. "Apart from students, the Erasmus+ program between UNY and Daugavpils University will also continue with internships for lecturers and educational staff for about one week," said Bruri.
The Erasmus program itself has long been recognized as one of the most prestigious student exchange programs in Europe. Students participating in the Erasmus+ program are required to study for a minimum of three months or undertake an internship for a minimum duration of 2 months to one academic year. Through this program, students not only gain valuable academic experience but also the opportunity to enhance their language skills, cultural adaptation, work world, and expand their global perspectives.
