ANAFA FITRA MARIZKA, AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION STUDENT, TO COMPETE IN THE GRAND FINAL OF BANGKA BELITUNG MUSLIMAH MODEL CONTEST

FBS - Karangmalang  Anafa Fitra Mariska, an English Language Education student who commenced her study in 2019 got achievement by joining the Grand Final of the Bangka Belitung Muslimah Model Contest. The contest is one of the attemps to involve Indonesian women in maintaining the national milestones. Indonesian young women, who have skills in personal branding modeling, should develop good attitudes and behavior which can be used as role models. This agenda encourages students' active actions to follow up on the vision and mission of UNY in producing moralistic and professional graduates. Challenges in terms of competition and achievement can be seen from many competition agendas in modeling. As students, their jobs are related to personal branding. One of them is about the quarantine process of Muslimah Model Contest to show the best and impactful role models for Indonesia. The 2021 Bangka Belitung Muslimah Model Contest was conducted in Bangka City Hotel, Pangkalpinang. It is a competition held for college students from all regions as the delegates from their institutions in a series of events which highlight critical thinking activities related to the use of personal branding in today's modeling world. The contest is prepared for the younger generation to continue developing their critical abilities in responding to the issues of becoming current role models. This competition intends to motivate students in practicing public speaking and train self-confidence as well as to build critical thinking in personal branding. It is useful for developing students’ insights, improving their abilities, and building independent and responsible personalities.
